100th Monkey Syndrome

100th Monkey Syndrome

and

Collective Consciousness

Every person or animal within a given species can have an affect on each other.

There was a study of a group of monkeys off the coast of Japan.  The monkeys on the island lived off sweet potatoes.  One of the monkeys was seen to wash his sweet potatoe in the salty sea water.  Soon after this all the monkeys in this particular group began to wash their sweet potatoes in the same way.

When a certain number of these monkeys behaved in this way other groups of monkeys totally unconnected to the first group and many miles from them began to do the same thing.

Scientists called this the 100th monkey syndrome.  When a certain number is reached within a given species then others of the same species show similar behaviour no matter where they are on this planet.

Scientists have found it to be true for all species that when a given critical mass of the members of any one species thinks or acts in a certain way then every member of that species then follows suit, no matter where they are on this planet.

This is really another symbolization of collective consciousness.

If enough people, the human species, talk about and think about wars, nuclear or otherwise and  if enough people talk about famine, drought, disasters, rising sea levels and so forth then the critical mass level will be reached and we will create those things, because without a doubt we do create our own reality.

Likewise, if enough people, the human species, talk about and think about peace, love, calm, tranquility then when that critical mass level is reached, this is what we will create! For we really do create out own reality!

What you think about all day long you create!

On the news and t.v. programmes people are saying that we do have global warming, we do have rising sea levels, disaster will strike.  They do not talk in terms of it might or it could.  They talk in terms of without a doubt.  But if we on this planet are doing something about global warming, droughts and famines then are not our efforts in vain? Should we give up and say "Oh but one person cannot make any difference."  Or shall we prove them wrong?  Shall we join together to make that critical mass level a reality.

If no-one swept the streets of London and the litter piled up then someone might  say that one day the streets of London will be two feet deep in rubbish.  But, at the same time if efforts are being made to clear this litter piece by piece then it cannot be said with all certainty that one day the streets of London will be two feet deep in litter.
